The Institute of Veterinary Practice Development was formed in June 2002.   Currently it has branches in Gauteng, Western Cape, KwaZulu Nata and Namibial with a total membership of 157 paid up members. By bringing together like-minded practitioners, the IVPD focuses on improving the profitability of the involved practices through the application of sound business principles. 

The primary initiative is to identify the principle concerns of the private owners and to systematically address these as a group.  Through the pooling of data, talent and experience and by involving business and financial specialists, we identify optimum practice management, with a variety of key areas being highlighted. At all levels of activity, there will be a general subscription to the highest standard of integrity and transparency with the IVPD introducing guaranteed, effective mechanisms to ensure confidentiality and protection of privacy.

The IVPD is a dynamic and innovative organisation constantly striving to introduce new ideas and savings to its members and currently has exciting new benefits in the pipeline.
